Waitlist  /  Create a waitlist

Create a waitlist

In the dashboard, open Waitlist → New. A short wizard walks you through the details, the form options, and the embed snippet. You can edit everything later.

The fields

Name

A human-readable label for your reference (e.g. “Turingo early access”). It does not appear on the public form.

Slug

The URL identifier for the hosted form and the SDK — e.g. turingo-early-access. It is generated from the name but you can edit it. Only lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens are allowed, and it must be unique across Onelo (it forms the public URL, so a taken slug means picking another). This is the value you pass to the embed (YOUR_WAITLIST_SLUG).

Description

Optional internal note. Not shown on the form.

Collect visitor name

A toggle (on by default). When on, the form asks for a name alongside the email. When off, it collects email only.

Link to app — optional

Associate this waitlist with one of your applications. Choose an app, or keep No app — standalone waitlist. See below for why linking matters.

Standalone vs. linked to an app

A waitlist can stand on its own — it will collect signups and you can invite people from the dashboard. But the richer features come from linking it to an app:

1

Brandable, multi-language form

The hosted form's look (logo, colors, fonts) and its text content come from the app's Branding and Waitlist tabs. A standalone waitlist falls back to the default text and styling.
2

Consent & legal links

The optional marketing consent and the privacy notice — with Privacy Policy / Terms links pulled from your Legal documents — are configured on the linked app.
3

App name in invite emails

Invite emails say “You've been invited to {your app}”. Without a linked app there is no name to insert.
4

Waitlist mode (store gating)

Waitlist mode gates that app's store behind invite tokens — it only exists for a linked app.
No app yet? Go to Applications → New, create the app, then return to Waitlist → New — it will appear in the “Link to app” list. You can also link an existing waitlist to an app later from its settings.

What you get

After creating, you land on the waitlist's detail page — the Waiting / Invited / Joined view where you manage signups and send invites. The embed snippets for your site are on the dashboard's SDK page, under the Waitlist tab.
