Sales setup

This tab links your app to the money side of Onelo: which Stripe account collects its payments, who this app sells to, and how far it sells. It's deliberately small — the heavy lifting (VAT registrations, thresholds, invoicing) is done once per business in Tax Setup.

The division of labour: your business's tax identity lives on the Stripe account (Tax Setup, shared by all its apps). This tab only decides two things per app: the audience, and whether this particular app stays home-only. Two apps on the same Stripe account can answer differently.

1 · Connect a Stripe account

Under Connection, pick the Stripe account this app should charge through — the dropdown “Stripe account for this app” lists every account your business has connected.

What you seeWhat it means
— Not connected —No account assigned yet — the app can't take payments.
An account name (e.g. “My Company · PL”)Payments, VAT and invoices for this app run through that account.
⚠ setup next to a nameThat account hasn't finished Stripe onboarding — finish it in Settings → Payments & Tax → Tax Setup before selling.

No accounts in the list yet? The page tells you exactly where to go: “Set one up in Settings → Payments & Tax → Tax Setup → ‘+ Add Stripe account’, then come back here to pick it for this app.” Accounts are created and onboarded once per business — this tab only assigns one to this app.

Open the “Stripe account for this app” dropdown and pick the account. If the list is empty, first go to Settings → Payments & Tax → Tax Setup → “+ Add Stripe account”, finish Stripe onboarding, then come back here.

Disconnecting is deliberate. To unassign the account you must type DISCONNECT to confirm — it stops new sales for this app (existing buyers keep their access).

2 · Who do you sell to?

A three-way choice that controls the VAT number field at checkout — and with it, whether business buyers can get the 0% reverse-charge treatment:

OptionCheckout behaviourPick it when
ConsumersNo VAT-number field. Every buyer is treated as a consumer (B2C).You sell to individuals only — simplest checkout.
BusinessesVAT number is required. Cross-border numbers are validated against VIES (EU) / HMRC (UK) — invalid → no reverse charge. A domestic buyer's number is recorded on the invoice as entered (domestic B2B carries normal VAT, so no validation gate applies). You sell B2B only and every invoice must carry the buyer's VAT ID.
BothVAT-number field is optional — companies add theirs for reverse charge, consumers skip it.Mixed audience (the most common choice).

As the helper text on the page puts it: “consumers (B2C) follow VAT thresholds; businesses (B2B) use reverse charge (0%) with a valid VAT number.” Whether reverse charge is actually available depends on your registrations in Tax Setup (VAT-EU for EU buyers, UK VAT for UK buyers).

Under “Who do you sell to?”, click Consumers, Businesses or Both, then Save changes. The change applies to this app's checkout immediately.

3 · Sell only to your home country

One checkbox: “Sell only to {your country} — e.g. “Sell only to Poland”. Its description says it plainly: “Block all cross-border buyers. Leave off to sell where your Stripe account is set up to sell.”

StateEffect
Off (default)The app sells at your account's full registered reach — whatever you enabled in Tax Setup (EU under €10k, OSS, EX, UK…). Nothing extra to configure here.
OnThis app sells only in your home country. Foreign buyers are blocked at checkout — even if the account is OSS- or UK-registered. Other apps on the account are unaffected.
Why you'd turn it on: a product that legally or practically only makes sense at home (local service, regulated content, a market test) — while your other apps on the same Stripe account keep selling EU-wide. Reach is per-app; registrations are per-business.
WhereDashboardApplicationsYour appPaywallSales setup

Tick or untick “Sell only to {your country} below the audience choice, then Save changes. To change what “full reach” means, edit your registrations in Settings → Payments & Tax → Tax Setup instead.

If a save is refused

The page never lets an app claim more reach than its Stripe account is registered for. Two messages you might see, and the fix for each:

MessageFix
“EU + UK (OSS) reach requires VAT registration — set it in Settings → Payments & Tax → Tax Setup…”In Tax Setup, switch to “Yes — I charge VAT” (or stay domestic / under €10k / use the EX scheme).
“EU + UK reach requires OSS registration — confirm it in Settings → Payments & Tax → Tax Setup.”In Tax Setup, tick “I am registered for OSS” under Registrations.
